Meridian therapy

Meridian therapy is a holistic health approach embracing an individual's mind-heart-body connection and recognises self-healing potential. I perform Meridian therapy on land and in water.

Meridian therapy originates from Oriental medicine. Meridians are the pathways that carry vital energy and information throughout the body and communicate directly with our nervous and circulatory systems. Specific points and areas along these pathways are stimulated through techniques such as manual pressure and massage, needles, heat, cupping, gua sha scrapping, physical movement and stretching. These techniques decrease tension and pain, relax the mind-body, deepen sleep, support digestion and build immunity.

In water, I perform Watsu. The body is gently swayed, massaged and stretched into various shapes in warm water. The mind and body are invited to surrender, softening mental and physical tensions. Hydrostatic pressure decompresses joints and massages the musculature. This mobilises our blood circulation, increases joint range of motion and improves innate self-healing.
